Persian Pests

It seems as if some Persian fellow has warned the U.S. to not move our military equipment: namely an aircraft carrier, back into the international waters of the Gulf. He strongly recommends this because "Iran is not in the habit of warning more than once." Really Mustafa? I would guess that our govt will soon "recommend and emphasize" that Iranian Naval and Air equipment stay in port and on the ground.

Iran is just not strong enough to back up such bold threats. They are pretty good at supplying technology to insurgents and such but..............

There is such a difference between courage and stupidity. The Persians are afflicted with the latter.

I hope you can keep right on thinking this. I haven't see much prowess from our military lately.

well you do have a point but our recent military action has been ground forces fighting with both hands tied behind their back.

A good example would be the "reality" television program "Bomb Patrol Afghanistan." On one episode they appeared to watch the Taliban set up an ambush but did not fire until fired upon. Then when the fighters were fleeing, they allowed them to leave without shooting. Something just did not seem right...

Of course that is a tv program but it does appear to be the real deal. There were actual injuries (Americans of course), so the "show" goes a bit beyond the averge reality based program. Or so It appears anyway.

It is quite possible that Iran's bellicose rhetoric of late is in similar to that of N. Korea. They are hurting and want to draw some attention to perhaps get some things they want....

Hard to say.
