Truth and Questions From the Cab #7 with Rule 5

As usual there is a whole lot of things going on around the world and most of it bad. That being said it is high time for some truth and a few questions - Bartendercabbie style...


1. Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee has been rather quiet of late. Pity. We need some more comedy around here. One thing you can bet hasn't changed any..Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee is still a dumbass.

2. Young "Johnny Football" has not even thrown the first pass in the big time and already he is making a fool of himself. Cleveland needs a top QB in the worst way but this lad may further damage this bottom of the barrel program.

3. Realpolitik might dictate that the U.S. and the West just let the eastern part of Ukraine go. The folks there seem to identify with the Soviets and nothing short of genocide will likely change that. The nation state of Ukraine is risking a real war with Russia over this and, hard as it might be for Ukraine, they may think about just giving autonomy to the Russia speaking crowd. A war with a much larger and better equipped nation could sprout from this and the outcome would be easy to predict.  Russia needs to be contained certainly but Eastern Ukraine may not be the place to make that stand. No this is not  "peace in our time" type of appeasement but realpolitik in the first degree. To put it bluntly - Eastern Ukraine ain't Western Europe and is not worth fighting for.

4. The fighting in Gaza has reached a point where it is becoming a public relations nightmare for Israel. They should ignore this however and press on until Hamas is neutralized. Keep fools and nincompoops like Kerry, Obama, and company at bay and, at the very least, destroy the "military" capability of Hamas.

5. Folks have pointed out that some of the UN (and US) money that makes its way to Gaza goes right into the Hamas till. Does this mean that the UN, US, and others are indirectly (and perhaps directly) funding a terror organization? You know the answer to that don't you? I think you do.

6. What needs to be done with the ISIS crowd? (You know, those fine folks that have a penchant for moving their fellow citizens back to the dark ages (when they are not killing them)).  At some point they will have to be crushed by someone. Simple as that. Or do you disagree?

7. George II should have left one S. Hussein in power.You know for balance of power and all that. Kind of late for that now. Isn't it? That ship sailed long ago.....

8. What is in a name? Nothing really, but don't you find it odd that the citizenry of this nation actually voted for a man (not once but twice) with the name of Barack Hussein Obama? Sounds sorta strange doesn't it? I don't think we would elect someone with the name of Heinrich Himmler Jones for any elected office no matter their party affiliation. Just be too weird. So how folks elected this Obama is a mystery to me. Wait, scratch that. I remember now.

9. Turkey will need to get back in the fold and ditch those Islamists that are "in charge" now. Why? The reasons are obvious. For starters radical Islam is a problem anywhere it sprouts whether that be Turkey, Iraq, or Dearborn, MI. Secondly (and perhaps most importantly) Turkey is a stalwart in containing Soviet err Russian aspirations. The Turks scare shit out of Russia and they need to stay affiliated with the West. Of course if Turkey does go the full Islamist route they will still be a potential, perhaps even more dangerous, problem for Russia but also would be a dangerous problem for nations to the west. Maybe Ankara should be made to understand that Constantinople would be forfeit if they continue to swing toward radical Islam? Just floating a trial balloon on that one. Why not? Everybody else does. What's that you say? Constantinople is no more? You say tomato I saw tomahhhhhto.

10. Are the Islamists that reside within the borders of Red China and Russia causing havoc be what we would call "good" Islamists? Is there even such a thing?

11. There are more Muslims at the Houston Galleria than there are on the Gaza Strip. Many of them seem to enjoy ice skating while wearing their "Free Palestine" t shirts.  I  believe there is money to be made by them, a business opportunity as it were, by putting on some sort of "Palestinians on Ice" show. Of course the proceeds and profits would be funneled to Hamas or some such (frankly Islamic Jihad just sounds much cooler but that is just personal opinion). What else could they do?

12. Yes yes I know that Hannity is often right on many subjects, but don't you find him to be somewhat of an ass?

13. Same could be said for Houston talk show "great" Michael Berry. Right on the money on most subjects but an arrogant ass none the less. At least folks don't speculate what Hannity was really doing in a rough trade gay bar (and subsequently allegedly banging (no pun) into someones car) after a difficult day at the office or whatnot. Same can't be said for Berry.

14. I have heard some folks say that John Kerry served in Vietnam enough times to believe it to be so.

15. To update the status of Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee it must be noted that the other day she supposedly said that no one was interested in impeaching George II. It is interesting that she was the one leading the charge in that direction. Her "spokesman" said she just misspoke. It is a shame she didn't say anything outrageously stupid and comical this time. She was just "mistaken." She needs to step up. We need some comedy in these parts.

16. The college football season fast approaches and I for one am looking forward to it. General consensus is that the top spot will come down to Oklahoma, Alabama, and FSU with perhaps Oregon, Michigan State, Ohio State or Auburn in the mix. This will perhaps be the top seven (in some order) but I for one would not rule out UCLA or Stanford.

17. The unfair and ridiculous BCS (not to be confused with the awesome Bartendercabbie System) has finally run the course. What is in store now is really, let us be honest, not much better. Either go with a real playoff (as the lower divisions do) or just go back to the old bowl system I say. 

18. If your company is more interested in their employees "continuing their Enneagram education" instead of moving in the right direction then it might be time to look around. What is this Enneagram you may (or may not) ask? Some sort of pseudo scientific new agey thing masquerading as psychology (or something). May or may not get into this at another time. 

19. The pressure is on for the Washington Redskins to change their name. The clamor has quieted down a bit of late but you can bet it is not going away. Taking a cue from all the politically correct nonsense, the Houston Independent School District has changed the names of a couple of schools. One was known as the Rebels I believe and another was some sort of Indian (tomahawk not dot) thing. Don't recall what the new names of the schools are, it falls into the "who cares" category. Political correctness run amuck is a problem in this country. Incidentally a district a few miles south of the big town (but still in the Houston, Galveston, Sugarland metro area) has no plans to change the name of one of their schools "at this time." I believe that school is also known as the Redskins. These folks appear to be standing their ground as it were. Hopefully the pro team in DC will do the same.

20. Is there any movie that Nicholas Cage has not been in?

21. How can one not like Michael Strahan?

How about some Rule 5? A couple of Asian movie actresses acceptable to you?

Truth and Questions From the Cab #6 With Rule 5

There are a lot of things going on the in world and country and a good bit of it is really a pretty big deal. Wars and rumors of wars and what to do all about it seems to be the biggest thing right now....World Cup and the IRS "scandal?" Not so much.

1. Sheila Jackson Lee has not uttered very much dumbassery of late that I am aware of. No matter. She is a dumbass and nothing can be done about it.

2. The World Cup is in full swing and one hopes the crew from the U.S. does well but it is somehow just not becoming of an American to really give it too much thought.

3. The College World Series is far more interesting than the kickball that is being played way down south of the border.

4. Somehow one gets the feeling that all these children that have suddenly shown up on our southern border have been led here by the false impressions that they are just free to come on in. They will be of course. This country just won't turn them back or send them away. Wonder where folk got the impression that it was just A OK and Jim Dandy to send their children north. You know the answer to that don't you? I think you do.

5. The IRS "scandal" sure is making the news. Wonder what is going on with all that? Not like we didn't know they were a bunch of scumbags at that agency or anything. Is anyone surprised they are now "under investigation?" Or something.

6. The scandal at the Veterans Administration is another thing entirely. Most Vets who have had dealings with any VA medical facility (yours truly included) know that there is a good deal of red tape and a certain amount of incompetence in the administrative depts, but who among us knew that it had reached the point where they may actually be harming (yes killing) Vets by default? That is a travesty and the IRS thing pales in comparison.  Someone probably needs some jail time from both of these esteemed agencies.

7. It has been reported that some folk working at the IRS actually receive a bonus just like some in the private sector. In government service at any level there should never be any type of monetary bonus whatsoever. Or do you disagree?

8. There is a very real concept called, in some circles, balance of power. George I understood this perhaps by leaving Saddam just enough of a military force to be at least somewhat of a counter to Iran. George II should have taken this lesson to heart.

9. Who do we root for in the now combined Syrian/Iraq civil war? Certainly won't be these ISIL (ISIS) folks. Not the other Mohammedan "rebels" either. This whole mess is rather complicated and really should have no bearing on what we do here other than the fact that the very complex conflict may raise the price of a gallon of gasoline. If that starts to occur well then someone will have to be bombed. Won't they? Who though? As a friend of mine says "it doesn't really matter who because they are all the same" Hmmmm..

10. If we do strike the Mohammedans of ISIL will that somehow be helpful to the Iranians? Now that would be a conundrum of sorts. Wouldn't it?

11. Would it be prudent to support the Kurds somehow to keep the Islamists at bay? I don't know.  Do you?

12. Shouldn't we tell (our friends) the Saudis and other such folk that it is time to quit supporting these Islamist types or just perhaps someone might feel the need to just declare the oil riches and resources in their environs "ours?"

13. Isn't Hezbollah (Hisbullah, Hesbullah, whatever) on the side that is fighting against these ISIL and other assorted Sunni groups? Don't we owe those fine folk a little payback? If we attacked the Sunni Islamists, would we be helping these slimy bastards? Perhaps my friend is right after all.

14. Assad and Company over in Syria are some evil folk to be sure, but have you noticed that his forces were not in a position or really not all that interested in challenging Israel conventionally. Of course they used their proxy (the aforementioned Hezbollah) to annoy the Israelis but that is really all they could do. Whoever comes to power next in the new Syrian/Iraqi "Caliphate" won't be in a position to attack Israel either. That won't stop them though. Attack they will once they consolidate power in the region. Oh the "Free Syrian Army" which is supposedly supported by the West won't be winning here and will likely fade away (if they are lucky) as the Islamists become more dominant.

15. Doesn't it seem silly when our current POTUS and our SecState comment on things that "need to be done" in this sad part of the world? This area has slipped from any control by anyone and the events will play out as they will play out. Our political leadership looks just stupid making any comment what so ever.

16. Ukraine has been put a bit on the back burner a bit by the various "news" organizations. The issue hasn't ended however and it has potential to spin out of control. Certainly there will be further statements forthcoming from our administration on the matter. Perhaps another line in the sand or sanction or something.

17. It was perhaps a dangerous blunder to allow the small Baltic States membership into NATO. It would be a further blunder to invite Moldova, Georgia, or even Finland. One thing about Soviets though, they are fearful likely of pushing Finland around. Not that anyone in Moscow has made mention of Finland of late. Not officially.

20. I heard that Secretary of State of the United States, one John Kerry, has chided the Iraqi government for letting their border situation get out of control. Now that is funny. Damned if Kerry shouldn't share a stage with Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee with his act.

21. Why does spell check flag "Islamist" as if it is not a real word or something? 

Enough of all this talk of the continuing war(s) in the sad lands, corrupt govt entities, and idiotic political personages. Please enjoy some Rule 5. Back for another appearance is the lovely and talented Brenda Song. Now this is one pretty woman and there is no dispute.

 

Truth and Questions From The Cab #5 with Rule 5

Time is short today so let's just get right to it.



1. Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee is a dumbass. Nothing can be done.

2. There seems to be a lot of blabber and bother about the prisoner exchange. Some folks happy. Some not. The footage of the release was pretty interesting though and no doubt. Other than that? Not much of a story really...Unless it turns out we implanted some microchips somewhere in the various Taliban commanders frame's. Perhaps even some sort of exploding kind (of course it can be done. We sent people to the moon didn't we?) Now that would be a news story. A news story worth watching.

3. Why does the current POTUS call the Taliban the "Tollybon?" Why does he call Pakistan "Pockeeston?" Hasn't anyone told him that the way things are pronounced in this country is just the way things are pronounced?

4. When in a job interview and one finds the early thirty something lad in charge is arrogant, knows nothing about the chemical trucking business, explains to one how crappy his current traffic people are, and then explains that his background is in the soft drink industry, it is probably best to not laugh out loud. Further is is not going to win one any kudos when one points out that it is obvious the problems with his terminal are likely not his people but him. Still awaiting the phone call informing me of my imminent hiring..Guess I'll be toiling away for a bit longer with my current bottom of the barrel firm. Or not.

5. Some folks down this hyar way brought their long guns into a local restaurant. Well it was a Chili's so restaurant may be a bit of a stretch...No matter. The point was to promote "gun rights" or some such. All they did was look foolish and perhaps even caused harm. Even the NRA folk are saying that was a stupid move.

6. Never should you let a statist fool you. These mass shootings that have happened of late give joy to many of those on the extreme left. They want them to continue and have no sympathy for any victims despite their very public blubbering. Crocodile tears at best. Some might even wish these things to continue as it helps their cause (they believe) in ultimately disarming the populace. Just a guess mind but you know I'm right. Don't you? I think you do.

7. Vlad Putin doesn't much like one H. Clinton. Does he? He might even fear her a bit. Perhaps might even think that Clinton can't possibly be as pusillanimous as the current POTUS. Speculation of course..

8. Red China may have bitten off more than she can chew now that many nations in the region seem to be flirting with each other. Kind of the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of thing? Probably.

9. The Clear Lake area of Houston has more Soviets in it than the NHL. NASA should clear out the pasty, spidery looking, spying bastards. Area liquor stores and those young (and not so young) ladies in "evening secretary" business might find themselves battling a recession of sorts, but that is something we will just have to live with I guess.

10. This week alone one friend had a stroke (thankfully mild if there is such a thing), another discovered he has very high blood sugar (we will be taking him out of the truck, what he will do now for work is anyone's' guess), and yet another is likely to have part of his leg lopped off (due to diabetes of course). Damn. All the aforementioned are in their early fifties. Is that when it begins?

11. My child wants to try a Turkish coffee. Why? I don't know. Could be worse for certain. Pretty sure I will drink both of course after that first sip and leave the establishment with a hair tingling caffeine buzz. A Turkish coffee is, like cunnilingus, an acquired taste. Might take a time or two to get used to but one of life's simpler but finer pleasures.

12. Is selling furniture an honorable profession? I could start tomorrow. It is good to know people in high places. Missed the "Memorial Day Sales" but what the hey...

Enough. Duty calls on a Sunday morning with another (possible) leaking trailer. My firm has a stellar IT dept but half the trailer fleet is out of service. Some is downright dangerous. Odd priorities. Better not tell the "Texas Hammer" legal group. .

Truth and Questions From The Cab #4 With Rule 5

It has been a rather busy week work wise. We have an internal audit coming up which does really nothing more than disrupt operations and make for a very long couple of days. A new man is coming in also (to replace someone likely..hmmmm) and of course he will need to be trained up. Not sure if I really want to however, this outfit is notorious for bringing on friends of upper management and displacing the incumbents. Seen it time and time again in the short 15 months I've been with these folk. No matter. Standby for some truths and hard questions and some (again Asian) Rule 5.

1. Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee is a dumbass. Nothing can be done.

2. I learned today from Donald Douglas over at American Power that perhaps, just perhaps, the monster band Led Zeppelin pilfered the opening riffs of Stairway to Heaven from a band known as Spirit. Say it ain't so.

3. It is being reported (H/T to Gary Fouse) that one St. Thomas University (MN) (The real one is in Houston) has banned a camel from campus for some sort of sophomoric "hump day" celebration. The reason of course is that it might be offensive to some folk or other. Interesting. I don't see it. Now if they had bought a real camel jockey to ride around on the creature, would it offend the camel jockeys on campus that a real camel jockey is riding around on same? What? Valid question.

4. Isn't it time for little Chucky Schumer to go? It is reported that he would like to place IRS debts in the hands of private collections agencies. It is further reported that some of these collections "businesses" that are interested are in his state. Interestingly enough I field calls from collection "agents" near daily looking for this driver or that. I can get pretty rough with them sometimes in an attempt to keep them from calling. Just by asking a female collections type what size her brassiere is will almost guarantee a hang up. I wonder what size Schumer's is.

5. The Vietnam/Red China dispute is likely at least as dangerous as the Russian Bear pretending she wears pants. Red China really does wear pants.

6. Doesn't that Chris Hayes guy have a kisser that sort of invites a whack with a stick?

7.  None of my cats would chase off a vicious dog that was on the attack. Have you seen that video that is making the rounds?

8. What the hell kind of name is "Toure?" Why is what he says even taken seriously by anyone? May as well have 50 Cent or Snoop Dog on MSNBC. At least we know what they are about.

9. Why do these folk that run for office in Texas always have some deep voiced Sam Elliot sounding type as the "narrator" on their political spots? Are we supposed to think that just because the voice actor is deep throated (no pun intended - well maybe) that he is supposed to be taken seriously? A no nonsense open range type guy the candidate is I suppose is what we are to take from this. Not quite as ridiculous as the ten gallon hat schtick but ridiculous none the less. Well maybe not. I can't imagine that in Texas anyone would use a voice actor who screeches like Perez Hilton. Not even a liberal and not even in the Austin market.  Leave that for San Francisco Bay area......

11. The problem with trying to quit smoking is that even when switching to a brand that one hates, one begins to at least tolerate it and looks forward to an occasional pack of the brand of personal taste as a reward of sorts. I'm a weak man apparently.

12. I still don't get Facebook. Do you? Twitter also seems sorta silly after a time. May as well be having a conversation with a cat as with Twitter "friends." Plus everybody seemed to be getting boob shots sent to them on this Twitter thing but me. What is up with that? Course I never asked.........I should be proud of that I suppose. I've been done with this Twitter for over two months and all is well.

13. I'm taking bets on how long "Johnny Football" lasts in the big boy league. Great talent no doubt, but the NFL ain't college (not even the SEC although it is about as close as one can get I suppose). His habit of running all over the place sure will win college games but can get a QB maimed in the pro ranks. RGIII may have learned that one.

14. I was invited to see the Astros play "baseball" upcoming. Pretty sure it won't be standing room only.

15. Should we keep our distance from supporting the aspirations of the Kurds so as not to upset our NATO "partner" Turkey? That might be a shame as the Kurds seem to be about the only folk among the vast array of Mohammedans worth supporting. Problem is Turkey scares shit out of Russia and she needs to be on our "side." At least marginally. Hard and sometimes unpleasant choices need to be made at times. Geopolitics 101.

16. Even though the Russians appear to be supportive of Red China on many issues it may be likely that they are quite fearful that the Chinese may be quietly looking as much at Russian territory for expansion as they are in the oceans. Appeasement won't help the Russians with China any more than it helped the West with old Adolf back in the day.

17.  I'm pretty sure that the white supremacist band "Stormtroop 16" is not the pride of Sacramento as advertised. I studied some of these type bands (mostly European) for some class or other concerning social deviance. It cause quite a stir with some when I compared these type "musicians" with their counterparts in the urban community. Apparently some just can't be racist (or at least some racism is to be "understood") while the other is just pure racism. So they say .......

18. When I watch the manly sports of motocross, bull riding, or even hockey, I sort of begin to wonder just what all these NFL types are crying about. Don't you? You don't see hockey players all pussing around concerning the possibility of getting hurt. Do you?

19. Is cable or satellite television really worth the money? Hundreds of channels and nothing on quite a lot of the time...

20. Most folk think Karl Rove is a scumbag I would wager, but didn't you find it funny when he brought up the question of H. Clinton and the possibility of her sustaining brain damage from her accident? I think you do. Whatever you think of Rove or H Clinton for that matter, it was a brilliant little jab to insinuate that she was being treated for brain trauma while, as some believe, hiding out from hard questions on the Benghazi episode.

Rule 5 time.....This lovely lady is one Diane Mizota. I first noticed her as a dancer on the watershed film Boogie Nights. She must have been something for an extra bit player to catch my eye and wonder about for quite a time. Ms. Mizota has since appeared in quite a number of other films (including one of those Austin Powers things)) and has an understated beauty about her. Enjoy...





 

Truth and Questions From the Cab #3 With Rule 5

I have been busy of late what with having to go to our corporate office for some sort of pseudo-scientific personality assessment training program (we are a trucking company for Lord's sake), along with the standard "you aren't doing things the right way" gripe sessions from the upper "management" and thus have just not had time to jabber about this and that.
 That being said, there are plenty of things going on and hard questions that need to be asked. Combine that with the obligatory rule 5 and you have some damn fine reading and viewing. Still on the Asians but I hope one won't hold that against me......

1. Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee is still a dumbass. The congresswoman who wears the silly hats is one Frederica Wilson (forgot her name the other day) and she is a dumbass also.

2. If we are still hunting for the plane can we at least finally stop reporting on it?

3. The Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" naval forces leadership (distinct from the Iranian Navy) has made threats against our carriers. Fair enough. I'm thinking it would be a mistake for them to make good on those same threats. Just a guess.

4. Is it true that the current POTUS has killed more Mohammedans than the former? Well not personally but you get the drift.

5. Is it also true that the current POTUS has deported more illegal aliens than George II? The ultra left says so and boy are they pissed.

6. Will the Russians finally drop all pretense of being a civilized group and finally make a real land grab of the now marginally "independent" former Soviet Republics? Make it official as it were?

7. Are you worried about "Bear" bombers venturing out again? Is the Cold War returning? Did it ever really go away or just recede a bit for a couple decades?

8. Do you think that the ranting of one "Snoop Dog" showed folks that maybe the owner of the Clippers was not alone in "racist" racist rants. What? At least Snoop Dog knew he was on tape. That might make him more of stupid prick than the rich white guy.

9. Why do these rich mogul types always seem to have a mistress half their age and that mistress is usually, shall we say, not a fine figure of a woman? Seems they could afford a bit more in the looks department frankly.

10. If one could care less about the whole gay marriage thing, does that make them a homophobe? Or something.

11. Why is it easier to get fellatio offers at the park by a strange guy instead of a strange female? Seems ass backward to me (no pun intended). Should perhaps we ask one Houston radio talk show great his opinion on the matter? I would suspect that he has the answer. Just a guess mind.

12. You know why truckers call rest areas pickle parks don't you? Sure you do.

13. One way to probably not catch the newfangled (in this country) MERS virus would be to just avoid the Middle East. Seems logical and what the fuck does anyone want to go there for anyway. It's hot, sorta stinks, and there is always the possibility of getting offed by some sort of wild Islamic Jihadi type. Of course there is the history. Could be worth the risk I suppose.

14. If you are talking up the old Eastwood westerns like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly  then you are probably showing your age. Same could be said of speaking public wise of The Satisfiers of Alpha Blue.  I think Jamie Gillis was in that one. Wasn't he? Could be wrong.

15. Dr. Phil is a weenie. There is no dispute. So is that Driftglass guy. Don't know who that is? Not worth the effort to get into it...but let us just say he is a (likely) unemployed (by choice and proud of it) ultra liberal who thinks that blogging and podcasting (whatever that is) is real work. Guess I'll just leave it at that. Would be an infuriating dude if not so silly what with him being all concerned about the new Confederacy and so forth.

16. Would Japan be able to hold her own from an attack by Red China? I'm thinking yes. The world appears to be becoming more dangerous of late with the upsurge in nation vs nation tension instead of just nation vs Mohammedan ragtags conflicts.

17. Are you ready for the college football season yet? Do you think that one J. Winston might have been involved in a little something unsavory and that it was swept under the rug?

18. Which NFL team will finally foolishly put their hopes and expend their treasure on young "Johnny Football?" Update: The Browns. Took their sweet time about it.

19. Should NFL cheerleaders get some sort of salary? Is there any real difference between these young ladies and the local hoochie koochie dancer? They do have places where folk so inclined can go and watch a bit of naked dancing. So I hear.

20. Is American League baseball really baseball? There is the DH thing that certainly takes a lot of strategy away from the game. You know what with having to use strategy with the pitching staff...never mind.

21. Will the Houston Astros win 40 games this season? Will over 17,000 fans show up at any game this season? Perhaps they could give away a car or something..........

22. Remember when Obama was going to heal the ills that plagued this nation? What happened?

24. Do you recall when one Ross Perot spoke of a "giant sucking sound?" No one listened. Did they? Now we are a nation of insurance agents and hamburger salesmen. That little weird bastard knew what he was talking about after all.

25. Mitt Romney, another weird bastard, may have been right on the money when he said that Russia was a great geopolitical threat.

26. Young "Johnny Football" discovered likely that the NFL folk are not too sure of his act. Likely some think he won't survive long (he probably won't) but  are probably even more leery of  his antics. Far from being the number one pick, the lad was not even the first QB selected. A bit of humble pie could be good for the child. A life lesson as it were...

27. We might be seeing another Vietnam vs. Red China skirmish before long. Should we root for the underdog here despite our history with same underdog?

Truth and Questions From The Cab #2 With Rule 5

It has been a while since any postings and as usual there are a lot of things going on in the country and the world. Some good. Some bad. For the down and dirty truth on some of these events, happenings, and other trivial subjects, there is no better place than the cab. Bank it.

1. Dumbass Sheila Jackson Lee is still a dumbass. Nothing can be done. So is Maxine Waters. Who is that silly congresswoman who wears the ridiculous ho hats? Her name escapes me........She is a dumbass also.

2. This Cliven Bundy guy should have probably just paid his bill and kept his pie hole shut.

3. The owner of the Los Angeles Clipper basketball club should have also refrained from voicing his opinions on various matters.

4. The Ukraine thing is far from over. There will be blood.

5. Harry Reid may have had a point or two when discussing this Cliven Bundy dude, but he (Reid) is still a fool.

6. Some leftist writers (you know who you are) are long term unemployed and somehow they are honored to be so. Most folk down Texas way would find them a bit of quim I would wager.

7. The Astros suck as we knew they would. How could it be otherwise with Jim Crane as an owner? He runs one of the worst logistics companies in the country. Why would his baseball team be any different?

8. The Enneagram personality profiley thingy is nonsense. Along the lines of horoscopes and phrenology this thing is. Funny how many corporate dweebs buy into this crap. I will be attending "training" directly. 

9. It is probably best to side with Japan over the Red Chinese in the island dispute despite the Nips fondness for whaling. As a friend of mine says "fuck a Japanese, they don't need to eat a whale."

10. Are the Muslims that cause Russia and Red China a problem "good" Muslims?

11. It may have not been wise to include the tiny Baltic nations in NATO. Not wise at all.

22. Do you think that the Very Reverend Sharpton looked better as a portly man? Seems to me he looks a bit like what some folk say a space alien looks like. Far be it from me to make sport on one's appearance though.....

23. Did you know that there was a Confederate General Officer name of Bushrod Johnson? Since I don't have a son I am thinking the next male animal that my better half "saves".............I did once name a doberman "Jubal Early" after a rather acerbic Confederate officer.  May they (the Genl and the canine) rest in peace. Contrary sons a bitches both...

25. Don't you find it silly that a large number of the Texas politicians have to be seen in some sort of asinine ten gallon hat? Some of them probably have worn a fraternity beanie much more than real man garb.
