The Pepper Spray Episode
Well UC Davis Police Lt. John Pike will likely be in a bit of hot water. Just can't go around spraying kids who are sitting on a sidewalk. Not a good move Barney. Of course the whole thing is pretty amusing and one can't help but chuckle a little bit. Kind of a "take that you little snotnose" type of thing.

I suspect that if you had ever been hit with pepper spray, you might think differently. I do agree with you that OWS is misguided and a bit foolish and, admittedly, have not ever been hit with pepper spray muself, but I'm not prepared to giggle at the misfortune of others until I know what it feels like.
Been sprayed with it during Coast Guard training. It is uncomfortable to say the very least.
Not to be misunderstood though. This "officer" should probably be fired if not prosecuted. Can't abuse folk who are doing nothing more than just being annoying. That being said, these kids may have learned a very important life lesson about the good intentions and "fairness" of others.
Oh my gosh! I shouldn't be laughing, but I am. How terrible!
